Alice: “The 1-kilometer canopy tour in Monteverde was really cool!”
Monteverde is a private nature reserve located at an altitude of 1500 to 1850 meters. The reserve is especially worth a visit because of the cloud forests. These cloud forests are called the most beautiful cloud forests in Costa Rica and are so attractive because of the lush plant growth caused by the high humidity. The hanging plants such as ferns, mosses and orchids give the heavy and whimsical trees in the cloud forests a unique appearance. As many as 70 different plant species can grow on just one trees, which gives the forest a unique look.
